Patches - 30 January, 1982 - Mad About Madness! Take two girls and a group like Madness - it's just got to be fun! WE thought it would be a mad idea to take sisters Angela and Sharon McDonald to meet Madness when they played in Dundee, Scotland. They thought it was pretty crazy, too! 1. "We went to meet them in their dressing room before the concert," said Sharon. "Bedders offered me some cake - the Madness way!" "They were busy doing their soundcheck," added Angela, "so everyone was wandering about all the time. We met the Belle Stars who were supporting Madness on the tour, too." ![]() 2. "This is us with Woody," said Sharon. "He was quite tired because they'd just finished making their film and this tour was one of their biggest ever." "He kept making funny faces at the camera," said Angela, "but we managed to get him looking at his best for this one." ![]() 3. "It took us a while to find Chas Smash because he'd taken a walk round the city to chat to fans and sign autographs," said Angela. "He's even nicer looking in real life, very friendly, too." "After we'd had our photo taken with Chas for Patches, he took one of us with his new camera!" added Sharon. "It was strange to see someone who's always having his photo taken, taking one of us." "We never thought we'd be able to meet them," said Angela. "It was a great day - the concert was fantastic, too. Thanks, Patches!!" ![]() - Contributed by Fredd Boeuf Madness In Print Return Return to Homepage | Return to Top of Page |
