Tour Madness  Summer 1978 - LONDON: Finchley Road Rehearsal Basement
The Invaders rehearse in a dusty basement at Finchley Road packed with boxes of teeth moulds. Lee invests his time in performing with "Gilt Edge" whilst preparing a return to Camden Town. Suggs pursues an interest in Chelsea FC's efforts in the British Premier League and starts skipping rehearsals. Mike sacks him for his misplaced loyalty. The day afterwards, Mike and John visit Lee and rehearse with "Gilt Edge". John belts out a passionate version of "The Animals' House Of The Rising Sun," convincing enough to become The Invaders' new vocalist. A disastrous rehearsal at his place results in Gavin's departure. John tips a new bass player; Mark Bedford, a graduating scholar who previously played in "Bros. Funk" and "Steel Erection". When John decides that he can't sing and drum simultaneously, the search for a new member is open. Suggs seeks the opportunity and takes place behind the drums in order to discourage potential replacements. The band aren't impressed and sack him again. Mark suggests to recruit Garry Dovey.
