Tour Madness  July 21st 1979 - LONDON: Electric Ballroom
Attendance: 1500 - sellout
Line Up: The Selecter, Madness, The Specials

The ska explosion that the British music-press (obsessed with trends and revivals) talks about reaches new heights with a '2-Tone Evening' showcasing bands who are signed to Jerry Dammers' record label. Dexys Midnight Runners (not signed to 2 Tone) are also billed but don't perform. Overwhelming ticket demand practically blocks off Camden High Street. This successful event finishes with an all star performance of The Pioneers' Longshot Kick De Bucket.
