Tour Madness November 29th - HAMBURG MARKETHALLE: TV: Rockpalast Attendance: 400 - sellout Set List: Embarrassment Sign Of The Times Close Escape A Day On The Town Bed & Breakfast Man Disappear Pac A Mac When Dawn Arrives My Girl Cardiac Arrest Promises Promises Take It Or Leave It Shut Up Tomorrow's Dream Mrs. Hutchinson Baggy Trousers Missing You Madness Grey Day Encore: Rockin' In Ab It Must Be Love Encore: The Prince One Step Beyond This show is videotaped by the internationally acclaimed concert-programme 'Rockpalast'. "Guten Abend and hello" Suggs says before the band kick off with a rapidly played version of Embarrassment. Throughout the show Suggs unsuccessfully tries to communicate with the nailed-down audience while his shoelaces keep coming undone. My Girl is played in a slowed down version with the opening verse being accompanied on piano (This version lasts till 1984). Carl is in good shape, delivering a storming speech during the intro of Take It Or Leave It and counting in German in Shut Up. The Shouts in Tomorrow's Dream are reminders of what animals, held captive for vivisection, are going through. 'This song is for any of you who is romantically inclined'' Suggs introduces Missing You. "I play trombone in this one" Carl jokes while stepping behind the congas.".I don't the towell-snatching singer responds. Madness finally gets the frontrows on their feet; Grey Day leaves them clamouring for more. Carl introduces It Must Be Love in his clumsiest German. As future traditions want, it is dedicated to everyone. Going offstage for One Step Beyond he lets members of the crowd have their shout. Only one girl resists and pulls her dirtiest face. Various edits are made for international exposure; WDR TV airs the whole show on February 6, 1982. Return to Homepage | Return to Top of Page |
