Suggs Tour Madness The Lone Ranger Rides To Multiple Pyramids Befriending Jools Holland And More Being the well known lead singer, Suggs made a few appearances outside of Madness, or alongside Carl during the 80’s including the Fink Brothers project. It was after he finally left Madness in 1988 that he really started his multiple solo careers. Failing as a Stand up comedy compere and making a shaky start in TV with his BSB, early Satellite Television, chat show “Suggs On Saturday” he would become more successful later at presenting a number of TV shows with his natural sense of fun and wit. From Kareoke game shows to London & history documentaries to current affairs, he most recently returned to the chat format with "Suggs in the city" and can be seen on Sky Arts driving a mini around Italy for his first travle show. As a radio DJ on many stations he would become a popular fixture culminating in making Virgin Radio popular and his party show launched as a seperate satelite radio station on Sky and the internet. He also became the voice of many advertising campaigns, most recently starring in "Bird's Eye" commercials. After a spell in music production and management with The Farm, his own solo music career started in 1994 after a sucessful appearance singing on the Danny Baker After All show. 2 albums "The Lone Ranger" and "The 3 Pyramids club" followed along with hit singles and some more key TV appearances. He continues in solo music projects to this day though since his deal with WEA ended these have been more often colaborations with other artists. His own acting career began with a cameo in the Richard Curtis film "The Tall Guy" in 1989, he then went on to star in a Channle Four Film called "Final Frame" and a Radio 4 sitcom. He continues with small minor roles in films when the part suits him most recently playing crooner Al Bowly in Kiera Knightleys "Edge of love" Suggs Tour Madness 1996 Finally the car is packed. We're on our way... Details of Suggs solo appearances and projects will appear here in the future. In the meantime here is the tour poster, for the tour that never happened. ![]() Return to Homepage | Return to Top of Page |
