Tour Madness  Over 30 Years of Gigs, Tours, TV & Radio Appearances, & Beyond
Welcome to Tour Madness, Madness Central's complete and comprehensive guide to all live appearances on stage, screen and multimedia...

From a back garden in Islington, 1976, via pubs, venues, theatres, arenas, parks, forests, racecourses, ships, busses and country estates to storming the 02' dome, it's over 30 years of Madness gigs. They became hero's of 80's Top of the pops too, and The Young Ones through 90's TFI Friday to The Paul OGrady Show, and never off the airwaves from John Peel Sessions to BBC6 & Multimedia. There is nothing else quite like live Madness. "All of this".

Tour Madness  Recently...
Bournemouth - Tuesday December 1st

It's was a great way to celebrate Advent. The first door of December opening to a Madness Tour of the new sucessful album. The intimate venue shows look set to be some of the best yet. With a fresh set list that on the first night in Bournemouth included 9 songs from the new album, and a new cover version for Madness with Paul Simon's 1972 Mother and Child Reunion. Some returning album tracks of note, one not played since the 80's and still some 12 well known hit singles.

Night Boat To Cairo

2nd Night at Brighton December 2nd. Mother and Child Reunion, Girl, We Are London and Take it Or Leave it were not played
In The Rain and Shut Up rejoined the set to stay and Hunchback of Torriano had it's debut live rendition, so far just at this show.

As the tour continues. A 19 track Matinee show in Southend on the 5th featured mostly these 80's hits, Plus Forever Young, Dust Devil and retained the Mother and Child Reunion Cover version. Where as the evening gigs have now dropped MKII/Sugar and Spice section, Bed and Breakfast Man is back, a dangermen song or 2 have varied in and out of the set. The cover version is eventually dropped from the rest of the tour midway.

Tarzan's Nuts has re-appeared for all uk shows since Southend except Edinburgh. As the tour continued Chris and Lee started to take the mic for this song making for an amazing moment of team work in the show. Equally Chris' "Showtime" section introduction get longer and funnier during the tour, including an emotional speach at London's 02 and a scottish McForeman appearing in character at the Edinburgh gig which ends the tour in the cold -6 temperatures that dont stop the party and begins the new year.
